We have an eventful month of webinar and workshop topics developed exclusively for three distinct groups of alumni—recent, mid-level and experienced alumni.
At a recent webinar, “Reactivate your Network,” participants learned how to build and enhance their current network by focusing on quality instead of quantity, develop a more positive mindset about networking, and effectively maintain their newly established contacts.
“Encore Careers,” scheduled for Thursday, November 14 at the Stony Brook Career Center, will invite experienced alumni to explore a career geared toward giving back for the common good and living a more flexible and balanced lifestyle.
We will close this month with the “Interview Like a Pro” workshop on Tuesday, November 19 also at the Career Center. We’ve all heard, “Your resume gets you the interview and the interview gets you the job!” We will provide you with techniques to better market your unique skills and create a conversation between you and the interviewer.
