Two-time conference champion and Olympian India Pagan ’22 has signed her first professional contract with BC Pharmaserv Marburg in Germany. Pagan is set to begin her professional career after concluding a decorated five-year career at Stony Brook.
Pagan helped guide the Seawolves to back-to-back conference championships in 2020 and 2021. She represented her native Puerto Rico in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics becoming the first Stony Brook women’s basketball player to compete in the Olympic Games.
Over the course of her collegiate career, she has scored 1,418 points and pulled down 729 rebounds. She currently ranks eighth on the Seawolves’ all-time scoring list, second in career field goal percentage, fifth in field goals made, and has collected the eighth-most rebounds in program history. She is a three-time All-Conference Team selection and was tabbed to the 2022 All-Met Second Team.
Pagan finished her final season on Long Island averaging 12.3 points per game over 26 starts. The graduate not only led the America East in field goal percentage, shooting 58.3 percent (134-of-230) from the field, but was also ranked among some of the nation’s top scorers from the field. Pagan ranked 13th in the NCAA ranks for field-goal percentage.
