The sun is out, the flowers are blooming, and the wind is a warm breeze — what more could I wish for? Since winter is officially over, the campus is more alive than ever. I want to go out more than ever to admire nature, instead of laying in my bed all day.

When I head outside, and the spring air hits me, I flashback to beautiful days during my first semester of college and my senior year of high school. One April day stood out in particular. As I walked to my morning class, because of how perfect the weather was, my mind floated back to high school gym class at 9:30 a.m. Going outside at night now reminds me of the walks I went on last semester with my friends, where we would vent our stress and bond over our different labors.

Other students are feeling joy from the emergence of warmer weather. As I walked to class and passed by Staller Steps this week, it seemed as though nearly everyone living on campus was gathered – there were even large stereos blasting music. I thought it was a scheduled event, but when I talked to my friends later that day, they informed me that the weather was so nice that a bunch of people just gathered there to enjoy good weather and good company. And it’s become almost a ritual to gather there, sit, talk, eat, and enjoy the weather.

The sun is out, the grass is warm, and everything is just right.
