Now is the time to nominate an alumnus for this year’s “Distinguished Alumni Award” and “Outstanding Recent Graduate Award” to celebrate leadership, service and great achievement.
Eligibility for the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Awards
Suitable candidates for the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) have demonstrated exceptional achievement in his or her chosen career, which resulted in substantial positive impact on medicine and/or society by advancing the practice of medicine, medical knowledge, access to healthcare, or generally improving the well-being of individuals or the community, and with impact at the regional, national or international level. The award is open to any graduates who have received an MD from Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
Eligibility for the 2013 Outstanding Recent Graduate Award
Any individual who has received an MD from Stony Brook University School of Medicine from 1997 through 2012 is eligible to receive the Outstanding Recent Graduate Award after demonstrating significant accomplishments during a relatively early stage of their careers and the promise of future exceptional achievements.
The Distinguished Alumni Awards will be presented as part of a White Coat Ceremony at Stony Brook University on August 18 at 3 pm.
