In April, Stony Brook University’s Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) invited students to recognize educators who have significantly impacted their learning experience through its annual “Thank a Teacher” program.
The program gives students an opportunity to show their appreciation to any educator who has had a positive impact on their learning journey.
This year, students recognized 63 Stony Brook educators across numerous departments and programs throughout the university.
“Good teachers do more than impart knowledge; they are mentors, role models and helpful guides as students progress on their paths to rewarding careers and lives,” said CELT Director Rose Tirotta-Esposito. “I’m pleased our students have thanked their instructors for being positive influences, and I congratulate these faculty for their dedication.”
