SBU Eats Dining Program Launches New Concepts, Food Trucks and Mobile Ordering

“The SBU Eats team is excited to offer new additions to the dining program. Over the summer they reviewed student feedback received throughout the year and developed new menus full of flavor and event festivities to make every day a fun experience! Seawolves can look forward to teaching kitchen programs, smoothie bike and cooking competitions, and wellness events during the fall and spring semesters,” stated Diana Walker Kubik, executive director, Faculty Student Association.

New Food Trucks

The SBU Eats food truck fleet, which accepts meal plan dining dollars and Wolfie Wallet, now includes grill favorites, wings, empanadas, pizza, ice cream and street treats. Meal plan dining dollars and Wolfie Wallet can also be used at Mr. Kim’s hibachi food truck and the Chatime tea truck bubble teas and beverages. More trucks will be added soon! View the daily schedule online, and visit the trucks at special events on campus.

Dunkin’ Express

Get coffee and donuts when you are in a hurry at Dunkin’ Express in the SAC lobby! Although a limited menu, you can still purchase your favorite drip coffee and iced beverages along with fresh donuts and pastries served all day. For a full breakfast and lunch menu visit Dunkin’ at the SAC Market next to Craft Salads.

More Variety at SAC Food Court

Head to this center-of-campus location to enjoy fresh whole food bowls prepared with clean, healthy ingredients at Healthy by Nature. Enjoy a menu filled with natural fruits and vegetables, quinoa and avocado. Gourmet Melts debuts with hot and fresh stuffed grilled cheese sandwiches such as smoked turkey with brie, mozzarella and fig jam, or fresh mozzarella with tomato, basil, and prosciutto. Global Flavours Food Bar by the ounce was added to include a rotating menu of hot entrées. Corner Deli moved to inside the SAC Food Court dining room, where customers can order from a kiosk or use Nutrislice mobile ordering for heroes and build-your-own sandwiches.

Wicked Wingz

Get ready to experience big, bold flavors at East Side Dining, where you can order crispy or slow-roasted wings served with house-made chips, celery and carrot sticks with ranch or bleu cheese dressing. Wings are prepared with delicious spice rubs for added flavor and tossed in hot, medium or mild sauces.

 Fuze Stir-Fry

The new Fuze concept at Roth Café offers a build-your-own stir fry bowl that you can customize by choosing chicken, pork, tofu or shrimp with an assortment of vegetables and savory, sweet and tangy sauces.

SAVOR

SAVOR is getting saucy for pasta lovers because it now offers customizable pasta sautés. Customize your meal by choosing your protein, sauce, veggies and pasta for a flavorful dish. Open Monday through Friday, 4 pm to 10 pm at Roth Café.

Mobile Ordering Has Expanded to More Locations

To provide better service and a more user-friendly experience, SBU Eats has switched mobile ordering providers from GET mobile to Nutrislice. You can order ahead, and it will be ready when you get there! Download the Nutrislice app and order from Corner Deli at SAC Food Court, Craft Salads and Smoothies at SAC Market, Peet’s Coffee™ at Alan S. deVries Center, Starbucks® at Roth Café and East Side Dining, Wicked Wingz and Cocina Fresca at East Side Dining, Delancey Street Kosher Deli at the Emporium at East Side, and Smash n’ Shake at Roth Café. The Nutrislice app has other added benefits such as viewing menus and nutrition information and applying filters for dietary options such as vegan, vegetarian, food allergens, kosher, halal and more.

Great Spaces in New Places

SBU Eats has enhanced the interior design of many locations to improve everyone’s overall dining experience. At West Side Dining, additional seating was added indoors and at the outside patio area. Traditions Lounge at the Student Activities Center now accommodates a larger group of guests during high-traffic dining times. New seating was added to Jasmine at the Charles B. Wang Center, along with reopening the J-Club Lounge, which accommodates small groups with soft seating.

Four Starbucks Locations on Campus

Visit Starbucks at East Side Dining or at Roth Café for fresh coffee, handcrafted blended and espresso beverages, tea and pastries, or the “We Proudly Serve” locations at the Administration building lobby or Shop Red East in the HSC building for freshly brewed drip coffee, tea, and grab n’ go snacks.

Pizza Villaggio

Opening beginning at 5 pm, Monday through Friday, you can build-your-own personal pizza or roll at this concept, which has returned as a result of student feedback. If you are looking for a vegetarian option, be sure to try the broccoli and spinach roll.
