Stony Brook, New York – Stony Brook University is pleased to announce that Meryl R. Cosentino, JD, has been elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP). Six members were elected to the board to serve three-year terms beginning January 2018. The members were elected at the Assembly of Delegates held June 29, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ms. Cosentino is senior director of Gift Planning at Stony Brook University. Previously she has held positions at St. Francis Hospital and The Nature Conservancy on Long Island. She also just completed a two-year term as president of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York.

Bailey Jr., senior vice president for University Advancement. “Meryl is an asset to our fundraising program, and her role on the Board of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners enhances the impact she will have at Stony Brook and beyond.”
Ms. Cosentino joins 18 individuals from throughout the country who serve on the national board that represents more than 100 councils and 8,000 professionals in the field of charitable gift planning.
