McCormick Family Sends Warm Holiday Greetings to Stony Brook Community

Stony Brook University Interim President Richard McCormick delivered season’s greetings to the campus community in the university’s annual holiday video, sharing the theme that while Stony Brook is a diverse community, we are united by the rich traditions that bring everyone together, providing the opportunity for us all to share our unique light.

Interim President McCormick shared the video with the campus community on December 16. His message read:

There’s something very special about this time of year.
The season brings us together with loved ones and friends. Time slows down for a brief, yet much needed pause.
These precious moments afford us the opportunity to reflect on our lives with gratitude, and to look ahead with optimism and purpose.
I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful Stony Brook campus community, and I mean that with all my heart.
At Stony Brook, people care very deeply about our university, about their work and about each other.
While we are all different, rich traditions unite our community and bring it together.
Each of us shines a unique light and together, we shine even brighter.
From our family to yours, we wish you a happy and peaceful holiday season.
Thank you for all you do for Stony Brook.

Happy New Year, Seawolves!
