Murphy is currently the director of the Respiratory Care Department, Pulmonary Function Lab and Sleep Lab at Jamaica Hospital, where she facilitates clinical rotations for the students of the Respiratory Care Program at Stony Brook in all three disciplines. She has been a committee member of NYSSRC-SEC and NYDART, as well as an instructor for the Asthma Coalition of Queens.
